Over the weekend we upgraded all Appian hackathon sites to the latest version of Appian. Appian 18.1 has all sorts of great new features to help you differentiate your application. Some of the highlights include:

For End Users we have updates focused on further improving use experience:

Web Content Component: You can now embed external websites as a part of an overall interface in the Appian environment.
Enhanced SAIL capabilities now provide icons for rich text, new text layout options, and new column layout configurations.

For Designers Appian 18.1 provides easier application design and management

Mobile Design: Appian Interface Designer now supports a form-factor preview to test interfaces for multiple device types, including desktop, tablet, and phone.
Appian has improved the design-time experience by modernizing the management of folders, groups, and documents and simplified patch management.
Blue Prism: We’ve updated Appian RPA with Blue Prism with integration via Appian Integration Designer along with templates for processes and data types to speed your RPA development.
Serve Documents via Web APIs: You can now expose documents residing in Appian to external systems via web APIs.
